On Yahoo's main page, the "millions of items!" line has now been replaced by "buy/sell anything". Now, if they could only find a "success story" seller who actually has items listed!! And to think (in my opinion, anyway) this could have all been avoided by imposing a final value fee rather than a listing fee.

Lustrestar,

There just might be quite a few sellers that would take exception to the "sell anything" phrase.

There's always the fine print.

Even BidBay got it right with "Buy or Sell Just About Anything."

Anyway, I guess it looked better than "hundreds of items."

Noticed that one myself this morning. The one category where I used to sell, has gone from around 1000 listings to just over 200. I would guess that Yahoo would either has to impose the final value fee/no listing fee idea or eventually close down the ghostown formerly know as Yahoo auctions.

Are all you folks logging into the wrong auction site.

You appear to be going to Yahoo!AuctionsLITE, not the real one that has all those fantastic sellers and buyers galore.

I really don't know what all you people are talking about. yahoo said that they were imposing fees to improve the quality of the auctions - well I checked today and I think both auctions look like quality items. I'm sure that Jenna always does a fine job, and most people should be aware of Britney's eating habits by now.
