I have been signed up for PD for quite awhile, but have never used it as a buyer or seller.

I had a newbie buyer who wanted to try PayDirect. She made a payment, but forgot the shipping. So she went back and made another payment for just the shipping.

I checked my transaction log and it showed 3 pending transactions!

Somehow, she had 2 payments for the auction item and 1 for the shipping.

I accepted 1 for the payment and 1 for the shipping and rejected the 2nd one for the duplicate.

EVEN after I had rejected one of the payments it's was still showing on my transaction log. I tried 2 more times. On the 3rd try it disappeared.

I notified the buyer. She was very upset and asked what she should do. I have no idea. My log is now OK. It shows her 2 payments for the total amount that was due. So what does she do now? Will PD automatically credit her cc since I rejected it or will it just put it back into HER account as a balance? How does one go about asking PD to apply the balance to a cc?

Also, how do you quickly get to PayDirect?
I looked all over the site this morning and could see nothing that says click here for PayDirect. It does not appear anywhere on "MY ACCOUNT". I finally managed to get into it by going to a closed auction and clicking on the PD link on one of the auctions! Surely there is an easier way????

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated! Sulyn

Since you didn't accept it she should be fine and it should never even be taken off her credit card.

Most likely it still showed on your log because it was still in your computer cache.

Visa Master Card taken by Yahoo! Paydirect a service that lets you send or receive money online from an account you fund with your credit card or checking account(free secure service). https://paydirect.yahoo.com/ (here is the direct link)

It would also help for you to go into your yahoo options go to Enable Yahoo! PayDirect and enable Paydirect. Many sellers don't have it enabled because they just don't know to do it.

I have been using paydirect for a while a few hundred transcations. It is pretty easy once you get the hand of it. it helps if you go buy something from someone that takes paydirect to see how it works on both ends. Paydirect on Yahoo has increased my number of sales, but I also have it on in the options so people know I take it.

Hope that helps

Thanks Tracey-I never thought of buying something with it to find out how the "other" side worked!

I checked with my buyer, and she is now showing a balance in her PayDirect account that matches the duplicated payment I refused. She has contacted Yahoo and so have I to find out WHAT she did that caused double payment and WHY I couldn't reject it for several hours, despite all the attempts!

Of course, now we wait and wait and.......I just tried to get into PD and the "wallet server is unavailable temporarily", so Y! will have it's hands full with that and there will be nobody to reply to our inquiries!

After 30 days if you don't claim it, yahoo will automatically cancel it.
