I'm ready to transfer 2000 Yahoo auctions to Bidville, and they have agreed to append my pix names to any Pix hosting URL I give them.
So who should I use? I have 70 megs of pix. My Geocities only allows 8 free megs.
I tried PhotoPoint but they assign a huge link which requires the viewer read their ad and click on another link to see the photo.
Is there anyplace left that that will simply host pix for free?
What about a cheap fee for no ads and a lot of storage?

You mean like this one:
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1581980&a=12036738&p=43509476
They took a simple name I gave it: 3Stooges, and created the above gobbledegook.
I could live with creating new auctions for 99 relists one at a time, but right now I have 2000 yahoo listings I want to give Bidville and they have agreed to append the Yahoo image name which I use in the csv file, to some constant URL directory.

I think their URLs are so damn long because one is the album, then page, then photo. Requires the three sets of numbers in the URL. I don't think they had us auctioneers in mind. Mostly the family with home pictures, and the hobby photographer.

My problem is I have 2200 pix which are referenced in 2000 Yahoo Bulk loader csv entries where the pix are identified by the name I have given them where they are stored now: on my hard drive.
For example the above pix I called "3Stooges.jpg"
Bidville will append that name to any single URL I give them and do it to all 2000 auctions in one automated step.
I have no desire to add a different link to each ad. All I want to do is find a directory on a free web server where I can give Bidville a simple URL. Then they will append the image file in my csv files to get a real link to my pix.
I think I just found 50 megs for free on Lycos TRIPOD. Seems to be what i want (but I still need another 18 megs)

Tripod is okay for play things I have used it for years. (I also have my own paid space on the wen for my site)
Tripod doesn't allow for only image storage you must have a website. They don't want to be used for auctions. Every once in a while I throw a picture up there is the ftp on my site is down but I don't like tripod because often when the site is the busy the pictures don't show up and they won't show up in your auctions either when they have down time and they have a LOOOOOOOT of it. You may lose quite a few bids if you use tripod. that is why I don't use it for auctions unless I have to.

Try auctionworks (dotcom).
They have free (as well as paid) image hosting. They don't change your file name to some numeric garbage & there is no "credit" that you have to display.
I have been happy with their reliability & pic quality!

I was right clicking a lot of pix on Bidville today to see where they came from and the majority were from YaWho!
Since the expired YaWho auctions stay on the server a long time, many people who transferred their auctions one at a time just used the YaWho pix link in the expired auctions.
So YaWho isn't completely useless after all.
BTW I sold a video on Bidville today, the 1st day my 1700 items were transferred by the friendly staff there. No pix yet. I had my pix on Lycos Tripod, but they got deleted by mistake (so says a message on the site) and they are trying to restore them (so they say).

I use Auctionworks free image hosting. They provide 100 megs. On the other hand, if you launch an auction from their site it can be pretty expensive.
