Many thanks Dimview.

Interesting statement from someone who said a week ago he wouldn't be shopping Yahoo any longer.
My favorite category to shop used to have equal listings to eBay, now it only has a mere 350 ads vs. 9,000 on eBay. Most of the 350 are overpriced (I guess sellers are adding on all those multiple listing fees required to sell something.) I don't bother with Yahoo anymore for shopping, too many good deals around now between eBay, Bidville, ePier & eDeal. Yahoo is a waste of time for what I need to find. I'd Yahoo if I were interested in porn (their largest category left by far), pirate videos, airline ticket scams & designer knockoffs. LMAO at Y's "quality" site!

I am very glad that some bidders are still happy with Yahoo. I collect in a limited area and they just don't have what I need at reasonable prices. I still sell there but I can understand why many most bidders seem to have left with the listings. Yes it's quick to browse but sadly the variety just isn't there anymore.

"You must not want much."
No - my wants pretty well match my finances! I've got a lot of stuff I would like to sell but alas, I am not a credit card fan and without that I can't sell on ebay or Yahoo.
On Yahoo I have recently purchased a couple of videotapes, a couple of DVDs, three books, and two posters. It is much easier to use than ebay and the prices are better (less competition), but I don't think anyone would disagree that ebay still has the best selection.
I have bought around a dozen things off ebay but I usually lose in the final minutes with most of my bids. My ebay account was registered through a University email system which is slow so I don't get the outbid notices on time. I tried the BIN on ebay but that old credit card thing kills that idea.
Until ebay changes their policy on BIN or those happy sellers who I have bought stuff from on ebay start posting feedbacks (I am still at zero after many successful buys!), I will stick with Yahoo.

Juggheadd,
I am curious...how are you buying on Yahoo without a credit card? I know buyers are supposed to provide that information.

This is how pathetic Yahoo has become:
Search Wilton Cake Pan ~
On Ebay 12 pages and 500+ to look at
On Yahoo 3 items!

A break for what? We agree that Yahoo does not have the same selection as ebay. They never did. We don't agree that because Yahoo has only 3 Wilton Cake Pans that they should not "even bother continuing".
I have been insulted for complaining that ebay is hard to deal with for someone who does not have a credit card. Until ebay changes this policy I will deal with Yahoo. When ebay changes this I will deal with ebay (because of their better selection).

Juggheadd,
And where are you going to do your buying if the glitch in Yahoo's system that is allowing you to bid WITHOUT REGISTERING YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER WITH THEM is corrected, and you can no longer bid on Yahoo???

Guess I'll either go to BidVille, garage sales, or start saving my dough and enjoy the stuff I have already bought
I don't like the way ebay does things, but I don't have a mad on for them like some of you do for Yahoo. This is a waste of a good mad on!

Well, I doubt you can place yourself in our situation, either. I sold there for nearly 3 years and without even a weeks notice, BAM. Yes, I have an enormous MAD-ON!

In Bidville you do not have to use a credit card to buy or sell and their listings are growing by 1,000 to 2,000 a day so far (544,526 now). So more to pick from then BooHoo and most sellers have lowered their price to help get buyers in. Check it out when you have the time. Have a nice buying/selling day.

That is NOT the way things work. When there
is more competition, prices are almost always lower. While I do not use 'egreed',
I'm sure things are the same way there.
Of course, sellers there could be different...

Of for heaven's sakes! I don't care how things are "supposed" to work. All I know is I found some stuff at Yahoo that I wanted, bid on it, and won. The prices were reasonable, the items are exactly as described, the service was excellent, and I'm happy.
I got two of the items (DVDs) at exactly the same price as they were on ebay with BIN prices. Like I have said when ebay lets me use their BIN feature I will start buying more there. I don't like playing the "wait until the last minute to see if you win game" - I don't seem to ever win. If the item has a BIN price that looks good to me, I will BIN!
