What the blazes is wrong with Yahoo? I am getting bids on items with NO HITS? Impossible. My items show zero hits and there are BIDS....aLSO, An item just closed (Beatles - like I wouldn't have a reserve on it) NOW there is a winner! The reserve has DISAPPEARED ! Is anyone monitoring this board? This is a MESS. yahoo bids are hot right now (ALWAYS THE 3RD WEEK OF THE MONTH) and I think when they converted to showing us our reserves (finally!) they blew away some of the existing ones. Now I have to tell this bidder something is wrong........YAHOO are you listening??

Yahoo system problems were at an all time high in Feb. I closed all my listings because of all the disappearing ads, bids etc. It was crazy and took about 5 days to fix. I heard several sellers reporting they saw bidders during the auctions yet got closed with no bid notices in email later. When they clicked bid history it showed no bids, no retractions, nothing. Some of the ads disappeared into hyperspace and were never seen again. Some ads closed, the seller got paid & shipped yet when they went to leave feedback they got an error saying "You can't leave feedback on an auction that hasn't closed". Of course the time left said auction is closed but they never were able to do the feedback and those bugs never got fixed.
Perhaps it's more bugs that will work themselves out. You can't count on it getting fixed though.
How much is the difference between the final bid & the reserve price?

Thanks for your response. Yes, there have been many mysterious things happen to my auctions. I used to print them out but the ink cost is prohibitive. (they could be exhibit A to Yahoo that something DID go wron while auction was running)
The reserve is enought to tick off the bidder- 25.00 difference. This is a tough one- trying to make a living on auctions and counting on a 3 legged horse to get me to the finish line. I already wrote the winner and explained the situation- and to please be patient until I work out the problem I did offer to sell (disclosing the reserve) The thing is, if this happens more than once - I'll spend more time undoing problems than selling.
The time consumption on auctions is unbelievable. I never felt bidders understood that selling is labor intensive and that we NEED the prices we set - If we flex to their demands - there would be no auctions at all.

I don't use the reserve feature. Maybe I'd get more attention and bids (and problems )if I did. I haven't kept an eye on the counters vs bids thing so I haven't noticed a problem there either. I haven't had a problem posting a feedback either. I guess I'm saying no problems all around for me.
You probably saw my problems on the other EGREED thread about the "buy price" auctions. I don't think I want to use the reserve feature if you guys are having problems. I'm going to re-think my buy price strategy and use it differently now!
This added: Don't you use AW's counters in your Yahoo auctions? I've never used AW for my Yahoo listings so I don't know how it works....

Ok I have been noticeing problems off and on over each day for the last week. this to me is no problem as they work off and on enough to see hits.
but on the good side of this bug if I list an item on yahoo with a feature the choose auto relist 5X if the Items have been relisting with the features again and again at no charge.
also if you have a auction with a start bid and buy price bidders dont have to meet buy price to win they can bid under it and win if you use reserve with a buy price it may be notifying you of a winner who met your buy price and closed the auction even if the buyer didnt meet your reserve .
also I have been receiveing two and three closed notices on each auction that closes with a winner .
all of this has been going on since they started offering to let all redo the look of there personel auction booth and giveing us a second URL for the asuction booth .
and yes all auction booth on yahoo have two different URLs to your item one is a personel modifide look you can change background and all on the other one you see when you visit it directly through yahoo auctions .

About auto-resubmit, do you ever look at your ad after it does that? I used to use it but when I looked at the ads later the pictures were broken tags, the ship option changed from Buyer pays shipping to Seller pays shipping. The option "seller accepts checks and money orders" disappeared. Ever since I saw all the bugs I NEVER use auto-resubmit.
I wonder if his reserve disappeared due to auto-resubmit??? I've never used the reserve option but maybe that's what happened.
Ioughta, do you know for sure the Reserve was there from the start of the ad? Or was it an auto-resub and you didn't pull up the new ad and check?

as far as thing like buyer pays shipping and my method of payments and pictures I have never had trouble with these useing auto resubmit I have as many as 40 Items that have simply been auto resubmitted the 5X and then I restart the listing and ue auto resubmit Items I alway offer and never has any of these thing changed on them.
many of these listing have been auto resubmited over the last 5 months with out trouble like this

WOW! I use the reserve, upload photos, started using the buy price feature... all no problems at all since last year. Sorry for youse guys!
