Yeah, but those numbers still include those of us who listed 14 day auctions on FLD.

I had 3,000+ comic book auctions that I listed on FLD and didn't end until the 26th. I suspect many other of the larger dealers also were running 14 day auctions.

What can't TAG be consistent and take their auction counts on the same day(s) each week? I absolutely love Yahoo, but these kind of reports don't really help. This report would have been much more useful if they had listed the counts from, say the 27th.

Their email newsletter is starting to read like an anti-ebay propaganda rag. Not that I'm pro-eBay (Just the opposite) but too much anti-ebay stuff makes them look extremely biased, and therefore their whole newsletter is suspect.

One thing I dont like about tag is way too much ebay stuff, and only a small yahoo section. I agree it would be great to see the counts on a daily basis. How are you doing on this lastest FLD replaymedia?

To be honest, eBay is biggest, and therefore will always have more "issues" and problems than smaller sites. But going so far as to include "Pink Quote of The Week" every week is just embarassing!

As far as Yahoo's FLD results go, I haven't gotten paid for everything yet (too soon for the checks to arrive) but overall I'd say this time was better than the previous FLD.

I'm still adding items regularly, so my inventory is larger for each FLD. The more you list, the more you can sell. Last time I listed a little over 2000 things, this time I did 3000. Hopefully I'll have 4000 ready to go by the next time (Hoping there is a next time)

Well maybe if they have a few more FLD they'll get it through their heads that if they just went back to the way they were - before all this "charge to list" such, that they might get back in the race.

I spent a year on Yahoo exclusively, and did fantastic, and that is saying something for an eBay Power Seller, but when pay to list came along and all the buyers and sellers left, I had to pick up my marbles and go back to eBay - I've tried the FLD on Yahoo to no avail, the problem I see is without being able to relist, which is about the only way anything sells on Yahoo, listing just during the FLD is an act of futility.

Actually, I like it just the way it is.

The previous listing fee was too high, everyone, even Yahoo, admits that. But a nickel to list isn't a big deal. Even my cheapie $2-$3 comic books can afford that.

But if it was free, all the "serious crap" would come back.

Baloney- If it's not worth a nickel to list, it's not worth listing.

While I don't list thousands of items at a time at the regular rate, I do try to have one or two hundred ongoing auctions at any time. The occasional FLD is great- I can throw up everything I have and really get the multiple bids. But I don't rely on the FLD days completely.

But that's just me and what *I* sell. Other categories don't do so well.

JWPC- If you sold on Yahoo for a year, I assume you know what you're doing. I've heard a lot of Yahoo complainers who post exactly the same way on both eBay and Yahoo. You can't do this- they are VERY DIFFERENT markets, and require completely different strategies.

It's not just a nickel if the starting price is over $9.99. Maybe make it a nickel a listing no matter what the starting price is. I think that would make most people happy and Yahoo would see the number of auctions skyrocket without a FLD.

I used to think a flat 5% FVF would be good for the site, but then again the garbage would clutter the site because nobody would buy it. These are the problems third tier sites like bidville are dealing with. If you study the site and see what sells you can do very well on yahoo.
