As for the new approach on restriction of listings -- the only reason there are so MANY relistings is----Yahoo doesn't have a clue how to romance bidders to their auctions. Fer heaven's sake------offer them a deal or something!!

I've always said that part of the problem is that Yahoo doesn't have any personality hawking their auctions.
Meg Whitman is (or was) all over Daytime TV for awhile, and had Rosie onboard as well. That gets the interest of people (esp. women at home) to head to ebay and SHOP.
Jeff Bezos was on the cover of Time last december. That has worn off and Amazon auctions are spotty at best.
Yahoo has no mascot, no spokesman, no celeb for people to look at. People find Yahoo auctions because they actively search out alternative venues that might contain some particular type of item they want. Only a small percentage of buyers is willing to go to that trouble.
My eBay invoices and shipping notices tell people that I sell on yahoo auctions too, and provide them with a link to try. every little bit helps.
