Have been using yahoo for several years but this morning have run into a problem that is a first for me - when trying to log in by putting in my Yahoo ID and password I get a reply that says "Database temporarily unavailable, please try again." When I try again I get the same response. Anyone else out there having the same problem?

You are not alone..
I have been having the same problem for an hour or so now.
It's about 6:30am here.
I think Yahoo mail has been having problems, I have received mail very late.. or had it returned to sender. So maybe they are doing repair work.
Nice to know that I'm not alone.

I'm relieved that it's not just not me having these problems, it'll be interesting to see how long it will take before the correct the problem (it's been at least 2 hours now).
I never gave it much thought before, but I'm VERY dependent on yahoo for alot of things, my primary email address being by far the most important as it's the address that I use to conduct all of ebay/yahoo auction business. If I can't access my email or log onto my auctions I'm hosed...
Along the same lines, I have cable internet so it's usually very fast but I too have noticed that yahoo's features are often VERY slow here lately. It's not unusual to time out trying to retrieve my yahoo mail while all other web sites are operating normally. I've always heard that you get what you pay for, since most of yahoo's service are free I'm wondering if that is the case here.

It's now 9:05 EST and still can't login. Yahoo messenger is working fine. Tells me that I have 33 new messeges. Wish I could read them.

Guess what, it's happening again - I've been trying to log on since about 530am Eastern time this morning and all I'm getting is the "...Database unavialable" response. Yahoo's unreliability is getting very old.

At this time I am trying to answer an auction
question. Yahoo keeps asking me to sign in,
I sign in and it asks me sign in again.
Not an error message, just sign in.
If they expect to charge for this service, and they will, I
would think they would try to get it right.

I left feedback on recent auctions without a problem, but when I tried to leave feedback for bidders (non-paying) on auctions that are about 4-8 weeks old, and I kept getting the "sign in" page over and over and over again.
What next????

I can't even get to any of the yahoo pages. It only displays a gray backgroung, nothing else. Guess we can only keep on trying.

Just tried to Feature an auction. System would not accept my Wallet Security Key. Then tried to access help area for checking the Key and system would not accept my password.
Seems to be a problem happening.

Now it's working. Sure would help if there was an announcement board to mention system problems.
