I got an email with a confirmation code to verify my email address, but whenever I click on the verify link in the email it just sends me to the regular Yahoo login page.

I also get sent to the login page if I click the "Verify email address" link on the PayDirect website.

So, how do I verify my email address?

Your email address has one password and your PayDirect has a different one.

bkmunroe, Cancel your wallet and try again. I went through this for three days before getting the verification page to pop up.

Yes, I know, but that doesn't help me. I can get into my PayDirect account page, but when I click on the 'Verify email' link in the actions list, it just kicks me back to the regular Yahoo login page.

Here's the email that I got:
TO VERIFY YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS:

1. If your email reader will allow you to click on links, click the
following link. If not, enter the url into your browser:

https://verify.yahoo.com/alt?XXXXX

2. When the page appears in your browser, check that the Confirmation Code
box matches the one below, if it does not, change it accordingly:

***CONFIRMATION CODE***
XXXXX
***CONFIRMATION CODE***

3. Next enter your Yahoo! Password in the space provided.

4. Then on that page, click the "Verify My Account" button.

I 'X'ed out the confirmation code. When I click on the verify url or cut and paste the url into my browser, I still end up at the regular Yahoo login page. I never see a "Confirmation Code box".

I know what you're going through. As I said before, I canceled the wallet and started from scratch again and again and again and today the "verify email address" page jumped up. I started this Wednesday. I did this so many times I have my credit card number memorized.

I cancelled my wallet and emailed Yahoo customer service about the problem and I got another email confirmation. This one worked.

Original:
https://verify.yahoo.com/alt?xxxxx

New:
https://verify.yahoo.com/v/alt?xxxxx

Apparently, that 'v/' was the difference that made it work.

I can't get the dang thing to work either. Does anything on Yahoo work lately? They can't want our money badly enough to give us a decent application s/ware for the CC service?? I'll try dumping the wallet and hope nothing weird happens ---

I'm having a different problem. I have received an email that I've been sent money through PayDirect. When I go to the link in the email, I come to a page that says

"Verify Yahoo! Security Key "

where I enter my password. This takes me to a page that says

"Email Address Verification"

and

"Before you can start use Yahoo! Paydirect, we need to verify the Alternate Email Address that you provided. This is done to help protect the security of your account."

"Yahoo! will send a verification email with a link to the unverified emails below. Click the link in the emails we send to verify your email address. Please check that the following is up to date, then click "Send Verification"."

When I click on "Send Verification", I go to a page that says

"An email has been sent with a confirmation code to the address you specified. Either click on the link in the email, or enter the confirmation code in the email and your password here.."

I have done this half a dozen times over the last week, and have yet to receive any email with a confirmation code from Yahoo.

Yes, I have checked to see that I am trying to send the confirmation to the correct email address. Any other suggestions?
