I have had wonderful experiences with almost everyone I've met on the internet so far. But today I found the rudest person I've ever experienced, on or off the internet, and he's selling on Yahoo!
His TOs state that he does not send EOA's-it's up to the customer to take care of that, and if they don't read 'right' and don't do so, he will give them negative feedback. Out of curiosity and boredom, I decided to look and see what kind of feedback HE got...several. And his response to every one has been to call the buyers cretins, morons, mentally ill, off their medication, liars, etc, etc. He makes as many as six responses to every one in able to use every filthy word he knows!
This man wouldn't last a week if he treated customers in a real life store that way-but how do you get someone like that off Yahoo? I am just floored that any human being could treat others in such an unbelievably rude and condescending manner! I admit I'm from Texas, and a small town, where people simply don't act this way. But I think ANYONE would be offended by this guy!

I am a sick woman.
This guy sounds kind of funny to me. I would probably be entertained to read his comments.

That type of seller, or buyer for that matter, hurts us all. His ID should be terminated. I know if profanity was used in feedback, it will be.
Hope your mail to 'abuse' helps stop this from continuing.
Good luck, Charlie

Verymodern, maybe I didn't make myself clear enough. I have a pretty good sense of humor, but I don't think that kind of 'humor' belongs in feedback. Nor do I think that calling someone mentally deranged is funny-what if they DO have clinical depression? Is it still funny? I wish I could give you his name and you could see the messages in their entirety...there's nothing humorous about them!

bearmom, I did not mean to be offensive, it just struck me as funny in a lunatic raving kind of way. Really it is the very word "cretins" which just makes me laugh I can't help it, I am laughing now. I think my reaction is personal, like these words remind me of an old crazy pal who used to blather on and on and as a matter of fact, NEEDED medication!

Yeah - okay I remember vividly now. Some of the words this person used I have heard before in a highly comical way from the mouth of someone I really enjoyed. Your post triggered a pleasent memory, and so out comes my comment.

Labbie-look at the -16 feedback! It really gets interesting-looks like he set this id up just for the purpose of giving people negatives! Gee, this is almost as good as a murder mystery.
Excuse me, I'm going back to read some more!

Good Grief! What a mess!
-16... I wonder why it isn't -30.... Does Yahoo! just give up after so many or am I missing something as usual?

UPDATE
I got a letter from Yahoo today-they asked for an auction number from me. I guess they are looking into it. They also asked for his yahoo id-which I gave them already, so who knows how serious they are? I'll let you know.
I have been wasting my money on paperbacks. Feedback on yahoo is fascinating! There's enough space to get really nasty!

Aint' that the truth! Wow!
I think in one of the feedbacks, I saw where they said that they have now found out that you are limited to 255 characters?! LOL
Some of these people really do write novels and have missed their true callings...

I too, got a good laugh out of this thread, until...
I realized your RUDEST may very well be a part of this community of sellers. I checked on a feedback profile from here and was shocked to read the 56- (must be more by now)and the insulting, demeaning language he used in feedback.
He even told me that I was now blacklisted from his auctions. Well, I don't know who he blacklisted, but I'm sure they would thank him.

This seller was so rude in his posts at the SZ that he was unceremoniously shown the door. (kicked out!). And it takes a lot to rile CCC (the managing Founder)! He then made derogatory posts at AW about both Yahoo! and the SZ.
I'm surprised he's managed to stay clean at AW.
