I recently downloaded the latest version of Yahoo messenger so I could use the free telephone service. When I installed it a new tool bar then appeared on all my Windows Explorer windows which was all Yahoo...lots of buttons, and a small search window.
It was nice enough but the problem is it takes up room, and that's expensive real estate. Not only that, but Windows explorer started crashing badly several times a day, which would necessitate a reboot and a scandisk delay.
So I uninstalled the Yahoo toolbar and I haven't had a crash for several days. If you have this problem, the Yahoo tool bar has an uninstaller button at the left side of the toolbar (the best feature it offers).

Oh, but the messenger uses alot of RAM. Too much. I love it, but had to quit using all the time because Stamps.com is also a RAM hog, but more vital to me.
