I'm getting my hand back in on eBay after a long hiatus, eBay name Rorycloud. I launched a few test listings from Vendio and notice under my "Items for sale" list that the Vendio listings have a very nice image enlarge feature. Roll the cursor over the word "Enlarge" (with a little magnifying glass) under location and you get an instant enlarged popup of the image.
My research suggests this feature is called "Gallery Plus" when launched straight through eBay but apparently they charge for the feature. Am I correct that this is NOT eBay's "Gallery Plus" but Vendio's version of it? Free, I hope?
It's quite a nice extra -- I launched a couple tests through Auctiva at the same time and they don't appear to offer it.
It does sound like you are referring to the Gallery Plus feature. While eBay does charge for this feature, they also provide it for free in certain categories. It sounds like you are seeing the Gallery Plus feature when you are listing in the categories where eBay does not charge for the feature. Thanks, Nathan, you are exactly right. Following your link, I see that (for reasons known only to the gods of eBay) they waive the Gallery Plus fee for Collectibles, Art, Antiques, and Pottery & Glass categories. My test listing happened to be a collectible.
