Hello,

Which specific shipping preferences are you trying to set?

If you like I can apply your shipping carriers preferences that are currently in your Global Preferences to ALL of your inventory items. If you would like us to do this, please confirm that you are ready for us to apply the shipping carriers that are in your Global Preferences to all of your current inventory items.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi
1-I am having the same problem. I just upgraded to SMIE and imported a small .csv file after setting all of my global and site preferences. I still have to re-choose on each item I import. How do I apply my preferences to each item so that I don't have to keep doing extra data entry?

2-When I imported from SMP, none of the auctions I had pending were carried in. These were all eBay relists. Where did they go and how can I get them back?

3-Where do I find the numbers for my eBay store categories?

4-Where do I find the numbers for my Vendio categories?

5-Is it possible for someone to send me a copy of the import template that shows which fields must be filled out for eBay auctions, eBay stores and my Vendio store? Christopher provided me something like a couple of years back for SMP. He is the one who suggested I move to SMIE . I have also upgraded to a Power plan.

6-Finally, I use to keep one more item in inventory than what I actually have. That way I could have the same item up for auction or in my eBay store AND in my Vendio store. Where would I put that in SMIE ?
Thank you for all your help!
Paula
PS-I actually printed out and read the manual before I asked this question...

Hello Paula,

1. You can edit your listings in bulk by selecting them to edit in your inventory. After you have changed one of the sections you can copy it to all of the selected inventory (up to 50 at a time) by clicking the arrow (copy down) button.

2. You can import inventory based on your pending listings by going to "Sales Manager" --> "Import" --> "Import from existing Vendio account" --> "Import inventory based on my existing listings" --> "Send Import Request".

3. You can locate your eBay store category numbers by selecting an inventory item to edit. Then go to "Site Specifics" --> "Categories" --> "choose" --> when you select an eBay store category the eBay store category number will appear in the box above.

4. There are no category numbers for your Vendio Store items. There are category names which can be located when you are editing your inventory item by going to the "Inventory" tab and editing the "Store Category".

5. You may locate the template by going to "Sales Manager" --> "Import" --> "Import from .csv file" --> "Click here" (where it says "Click here to download the Vendio CSV template" ).

6. You can edit the quantity available for an inventory item by selecting the inventory item to edit. Then go to the "Inventory" tab and edit the "Quantity Available" field.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan
Thank you for your prompt response! I don't think I made myself clear. I will try again.

1-You told libertywatches, "If you like I can apply your shipping carriers preferences that are currently in your Global Preferences to ALL of your inventory items."
1A-What do I need to do to accomplish this or do you have to do it? If you have to do it, please do so to ALL of my inventory items.

2-I DID import "everything" from SMP. None of the auctions I had scheduled and pending are showing. These were all eBay re-lists. 2A-Where are they NOW and how can I get them back?

3 & 4-There is no other way to find these numbers? 3A-IS THAT CORRECT?

5-You misunderstood what I was asking. I have the template.
5A-What I need to know is what EACH FIELD represents.
5B-i.e. Column K-Does this field REQUIRE the exact name of the folder I want the item to go into or is it a different type of data that needs to go there?

5C-Column Q-Visible in Vendio Store-DOES THIS PUT AN ITEM IN THE STORE? IS IT A TRUE or FALSE; or YES or NO; or a 1 or 2 STATEMENT?

5D-If I put 1 in Columns C, D, & E, DOES IT PUT ONE IN MY VENDIO STORE? COLUMNS AF-eBay GALLERY-IS THIS A YES or NOW ANSWER? 5E-DO I NEED TO FILL IN EVERY FIELD or CAN THEY BE LEFT BLANK?

5F-AG-IS THIS A YES OR NO; TRUE OF FALSE; OR 1 OR 2 FIELD? IF NO WHAT IS IT?

I NEED THE SAME INFORMATION FOR EACH FIELD IN THE TEMPLATE.

I realize this is technical but to be effective, I need to understand the templates requirements.

Thank you!
Paula

Hi Paula,

1. Note that this is not something that we can do regularly as it can cause problems with your inventory if it is done often. It is meant to be done as a one time change when there are hundreds to thousands of inventory items that are too many to even edit in bulk. If you would like us to apply your shipping carrier preferences to all of your existing inventory items, please let us know when they are all uploaded and you are ready for us to do this.

2. Your pending listings will be imported as inventory items, and you should be able to locate them in your inventory and launch them from there.

3. That is correct.

5. You can locate a complete breakdown of the fields in the .csv template, the type of entry that you need to add, the range allowed, whether the field is required, and any notes on the field by taking a look at the Sales Manager Inventory Edition Complete How To Use Guide. You can locate the guide by going to "Help" --> "Sales Manager Inventory Edition" (under "Complete How To Use Guides" ). Then take a look at pages 19 through 22. Please let us know if you have any questions after taking a look at this detailed grid.

Regards,
Nathan
