When creating titles there is no way that I can see to limit the characters to the eBay maximum of 55. Launches fail due to having too many characters in the titles. The text is small and difficult to actually count the characters. Am I missing something or is there a need for some type of limiting feature? Perhaps a text color change at 55 characters that can be turned on/off?
The problem is that while there is a 55 character limit for the number of characters you can have for the eBay title, the title of the inventory item does not have this limit. This is because the title of the inventory item is sometimes used for other purposes (such as the title of Vendio Store items or internal reference). For this reason we do not limit the number of characters you can enter in the "Name" field of the "Inventory" tab.
We do, however, limit the number of characters that you are able to enter in the "Title" field of the "Site Specifics" tab, as this is the field that is specific to eBay. If you are typing in this field you will not be able to proceed beyond 55 characters.

Thank you for that information. Please let me know where that info is located in the instructions for using the Inventory Edition. I'd like to re-read the whole area to see if there is something else I've missed, or if there is info I can use to improve my listings.
You may locate the character limits for the two different title fields on page 20 of the Sales Manager Inventory Edition User Guide. The Sales Manager Inventory Edition User Guide may be located here:
