When creating a custom Ebay template how can you pull the UPC code into the auction. I noticed when information is pulled over from Amazon it can be put into the Auction, but how do I place it? Is there a Macro for it?

Hello,

Unfortunately there is no way to map the UPC code for an item to appear in the eBay item description area, where it would be displayed for anyone to view.

The only workaround would be to create a custom field, which you can map to with the custom eBay templates. You can create a custom field for mapping via your Preferences > Items page.

When using an Ebay template of yours it was able to pull the information for me.

An example can be viewed here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200364782750&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#shId

Right under the Vendio Gallery is:
UPC: 040689013175
ASIN: B004SYON5W
Brand: Sage Peachtree
Manufacturer: Sage Peachtree
MPN: PPA2012RT
List Price: $499.99

There is no way for me to pull just the UPC?

Hello,

Im not sure I follow what your referring to unfortunately. The listing your referencing is an item you have had live on eBay since 2009. The gallery tool that shows your other items for sale wouldn't have added these details about your product, as it's only possible to add it's own scrolling display when it updates your listings.

The information I am referencing I believe was pulled from Amazon and introduced into the Auction by Vendio, atleast that is my understanding. So basically you are saying that I need to create a custom field and type in the UPC manually to have it inserted into the Auction.

In other words, it would make no difference if I did that or just typed it into the Auction myself?

Hello,

That is correct, manually typing it into the description area while creating your listing would probably make more sense. Otherwise you'd have to use the custom field to enter the data and then embed that custom field into your custom eBay template.
