I know I posted about the confirmation email a few days ago, but I was told that an option would be to change the confirmation email.

I wanted to change it to say something about "the following items were placed in your basket" and then go on to say that "these items should not be considered purchased until you have completed the checkout process"

As it stands right now I am unable to turn off the confirmation email, a bug that Vendio is now aware of, but without being able to change the content of the email anyone getting to the checkout screen will automatically get an email saying that the following items were purchased, when in fact they have not been until they completed the checkout through paypal.

Anyway, I wanted to bring up the inability to customize the email and see if that could be brought up to the engineers.

We have the majority of our products loaded, the inventory straightened out and are just waiting for that confirmation email to be fixed before we can start taking orders through the storefront.

Hello,

You should be able to customize the email by going to "Preferences" (at the top right of most pages in your Vendio account) --> then select "Items" from the drop-down box at the top of the page. Then use the "Customize" button below "Vendio Store Sales Email Notification" and make your changes. If you have tried this, but have run into trouble, please let us know in more detail exactly what happened.

Did that and when I saved it, it did not save the changes although the page stopped loading as if the saving was done.

This happened to me a few nights ago when it was first suggested that I make the changes. I went and took the html, copied and pasted it into my editor, made the changes and then pasted it back in and saved it with no luck.

As we were getting closer to allowing people to make purchases from the store, I tried to make some simple changes tonight, saved it and when i went to preview it the changes were not saved.

I even tried to make changes, close the pop up window that you make the changes in and view the preview from the main page, but the same, the changes did not save and it shows the original confirmation email.

Trust me, I am not trying to be a thorn in your sides with this, it just took us a while to find your site and once we did and found out you allow shipping to APO unlike ecrater and some others, then we were sold. We want to try some of the paid services you offer, but first we are trying to get the wrinkles ironed out to make sure we can really use this storefront.

Sorry for the issues we are having.

Hello,

I just made a small change to the email in you account, and it saved without any problem for me (I have changed it back). Could you please try using a different browser, and let us know whether or not that gives you the same results? If it does give you the same results, please let us know the specific change that you are trying to make, and we will check and see whether or not we are able to make the change successfully in your account.

Thanks, I will try. I am using google chrome right now.

I will try with IE 8.0.6....

Worked like a charm.

Nathan. You are the man. Thank you for the help. Something as simple as changing the browser used worked.
