I manage my inventory in Vendio, and I often run into the On Market Qty being wrong. As an example, I just ended early the item #20-2681 BK. There were 10 pcs listed on the market. The Vendio system said that it ended them, and the history showed that they were ended. I went in to the My Items screen and it showed 9 pcs available and 1 still on the market? I went back into My Listings and the item wasn't listed, so it looks like it took them all off. My problem is that it still looks like there is one on the market and I just adjusted the actual quantity that I have down to 6. So, it looks like there are 6 available and 1 on the market. What can I do to change the My Items screen to reflect reality? Also, is there any way to see the number of items actually listed in the Marketplace Listings? I often have items show up in there that are not actually listed on eBay?

Thanks,

Hello,

I have asked our engineers to take a look at the first problem, and we will let you know as soon as we hear back from them.

In regards to the second problem, please let us know a listing number that is showing on the Marketplace Listings page as live, but is not live.

Regards,
Nathan

Here are a few items that show up in Marketplace Listings but are not actually listed on eBay. Most of them show that they are listing on eBay, in the My Items/On Market section.

This is not good, but more importantly to me is the list of 64 items that show up in the My Items/On Market column, but are not actually listed online. I have used that to determine if I need to launch more items on eBay. And I'm sure more of your customers do the same. If the On Market column is not accurate, why is it there?

There is another related issue. I can't find in the Marketplace Listings where there is any indication of the quantity listed on the market. This is one of the reasons I don't go there too often. It doesn't give me any quantity information, and my experience has been that it is not very accurate.

Hello,

Thank you for your the additional information. I have asked our engineers to take a look at this (as well as the on market column quantity problem on the My Items page), and we will let you know as soon as we hear back from them.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to view the quantity for an active listing on the "Channels" --> "Marketplace Listings" page.

Nathan

OK, we are going on 3 days with no reply. I have spent countless hours in the last 3 days trying to "fix" this situation. I now have been slapped with a policy violation for having multiple listings by eBay because I have had to go in and correct the quantity of items in inventory based on the fact that Vendio has shown phantom inventory on the eBay Market. I need someone to look at this and get a fix. If I do not get something concrete in the next 2 days I will take my business elsewhere. Vendio has cost me hundreds if not over a thousand dollars in sales, based on the fact that your website showed that I had live sales on eBay that were not really there, not to mention my time and effort.

Hello,

Our apologies for the delay in finding the cause of this issue and reporting back.

The engineers have identified some causes for the issues reported (where items can get stuck showing 'at market' when they are not live anymore) and have some fixes in the works. We don't have any ETA yet on when we can push these live to the site, but if you do run into any others that show as being live when they are not, please let us know the effected SKU's so we can continue tracking this issue with you.

We hope to have a resolution available shortly, and thank you for your patience while we sort through these cases.

Regards,
Chris

Chris,

I can appreciate your effort here. But quite honestly, I find it difficult to believe I am the only one experiencing these types of issues. I could spend 2 hours going through My Listings section and identifying which items are not live. But, Your engineers could do the same thing. There are items in the My Listing Sections that have Ending Dates in 2009!

220491119622
220491113468
220510634641

All three of these are shown on My Listings page and supposedly ended in 2009. There are a bunch of them that ended in 2010 also. It would be difficult to convince me that in 2 years time, no one at Vendio ever ran across a report that showed that there are listings that ended that long ago.

I've tried to "end listing early" but the system will not end them, because they are not actually listed. If you click on the ID number it has a pop-up that states "this listing (xxxxxxxxxxxx) has been removed, or this item is not available. I even have an item in there that has been deleted, and it says so on the item (320489640634) it ended on 3-19-10.

I also have a number of items that are duplicates from last year like (320485882976,220527366118) the first one ended on 5-09-10 and the second one is live. No wonder I get slapped from eBay for having multiple listings. I have to double check every item to make sure your programmers are doing their job and finding the mistakes in your system.

Hello,

There are a total of 16 items in this state, where they show on market when they are not. We are going to reset their state shortly, as soon as the engineers finish evaluating any side effects from overriding them.

All of these except one are 6 months old or greater, with the most recent one happening in early January.

Chris,

It's been a week since I first brought this issue up, and all of the items are still showing as listed in the My Listings. I'll wait for your people to take care of that issue.

However a more important issue for me is the wrong information in the My Inventory Items section On Market Quantity. This is where having the wrong information displayed has messed up my entire inventory, and led to me having over 65 items not listed on eBay for, who only knows how long.

I had to go through every item in My Inventory Items, then go through every item that was listed in My Listings, then identify each and every item actually listed on eBay and cross reference each one, to find out which listings were correct in My Listings. Then I had to reset my Available Quantity in My Items to reflect the actual inventory I carry, minus the WRONG amount listed in the On Market Qty! So, in the end I have a bunch of items listed that don't reflect my actual inventory, they are short between 1-5 pcs, because that is what they were off by in the On Market Qty.

This is a major pain, but it was the only "safe" way to deal with inventory on eBay, since I don't want to "over sell" an item.

This is the issue I would rather you focus your time on. The mistakes on the My Listings pages are not nearly as important, because like I said in an earlier email, I don't often use the My Listings, because it doesn't tell me the quantity of an item that is listed.

Thanks,

Hello,

Not yet, but we are very close to updating that old batch of items for you. There was some progress made this morning which should put us close to being able to finally clear out those older listings from the at market status.

As soon as we are given an update by the engineers that this is completed, we will update you via this thread.

Regards,
Chris

I have waited another week and I'm still waiting for a reply about the specific issue with the item I posted on March 20th.

"However a more important issue for me is the wrong information in the My Inventory Items section On Market Quantity. This is where having the wrong information displayed has messed up my entire inventory, and led to me having over 65 items not listed on eBay for, who only knows how long."

I need to know when I can believe the On Market Qty in the My Inventory Items section. This has been very frustrating, thinking there were items listed on eBay that were actually not there. I don't have time or patience to print out every item weekly from both Vendio and eBay and cross reference which ones are correct.

Thanks,

SurplusPlanet360

Hello,

Sorry for the confusion, but when we said that we corrected the items showing as being 'at market' when they were not - this should have corrected the 'at market' quantity numbers for your My Items page.

If you have an item showing as being at market in your My Items page and it isn't, please let us know.

Chris

I ended 2 items early yesterday 4-1-11 from eBay, because I wanted to launch the new Variations version of the item, and they both came off of the My Listings (they are not listed) but they both show On Market Qty in the My Items area. Item SKUs are 20-2681 BK and 20-2681 Tan. Both items show that there are one each on the market.

So, it doesn't look to me like I can trust the On Market Qty? Why not?

Thanks,
