Web Designer

Vendio is looking for a creative, driven and fun loving Web Designer to work in conjunction with our cross-functional Product Team. You will be primarily responsible for innovative user experiences through enriched development of online and desktop-based products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and fabricate web-based applications from conception to launch
• Collaborate on design concepts and participate in design reviews
• Quickly create and iterate mockups based on product requirements and feedback
• Quickly take mockups / comps and build production ready CSS driven pages to defined specifications incorporating cross browser rendering, performance and display issues.
• Design and build dynamic Flash applications or widgets for the web and desktop.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Full time Quality Assurance engineer for web and Windows applications. You will test products and features created for the Vendio and Dealio web sites, and their companion desktop tools, browser add-ons and widgets.

Required Experience:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or other IT related discipline.
• Knowledge of test procedures, strategies and techniques is a must. Any previous experience with software QA testing, especially web based applications is a plus.
• Able to quickly identify, isolate, replicate, report and track/verify software bugs.
• Able to switch very easily between online and offline projects. Able to work with various development teams concurrently in a 'best-effort', friendly manner.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, PHP, Perl and MySQL is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of automated software testing products is desirable. Previous experience with such a tool is a plus.

Data Architect

Data Architect Engineer to create, maintain and tune data architecture on Vendio's databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain up-to-date E/R diagrams / DDL list
• Create table/stored procedures/SQL/index
• Write data layer (DL) in different languages (PHP, Perl, Java, C, others)
• Write advanced SQL
• Data transformation (migration) (oracle to mysql, mysql 3 to mysql 5, etc)
• DB performance tuning
• Simplify # of tables, dbs, schemas, etc
• Designing replication/master-slave architecture
• Report to the Chief Data Architect.

Required Experience:

• B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering with 3-5 years or M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering with 1-3 years experience in performance tuning dbs
• Linux/Unix required
• Good experience in working with Linux, MySQL, Java, Perl, PHP. Good knowledge of Oracle.Technical documentation writing skills
• Experience in designing databases (MySQL), E/R diagrams and tuning them for better results. Any experience with inverted indexing based open source tools like Lucene, MG is a plus.
• Must have strong Technical Depth, Inter-personal skills, oral and written communication skills, and an ability to think out-of-the-box.

It's a must to be:
