Senior PHP/Java Developer

Full time Senior Software Developer with solid programming and relational databases knowledge and experience. You will work on features and services for the Vendio and Dealio web sites.

Required Skills:
  • Work with the Development team to implement web-based applications for the Vendio and Dealio sites
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Web Design teams to define user-driven features and services
  • Design and code applications from conception to launch
  • Contribute to application and site architecture
  • Verify and actively drive application quality and performance
  • Support Customer Service and QA teams by quickly providing solutions for bugs
  • Conduct and monitor code releases to the Vendio and Dealio sites
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends on the web

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Full time Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for web and Windows applications. You will test products and features created for the Vendio and Dealio web sites, and their companion desktop tools, browser add-ons and widgets.

Required skills:
  • Develops and executes test automation strategies for product components that optimize software development and test execution cycles in accordance with product release plans
  • Creates and executes automated test cases to validate product component requirements
  • Establishes and maintains test environments and configurations
  • Documents clearly and concisely the anomalies encountered during testing
  • Works closely with the development team to identify and verify product component anomalies
  • Communicates test status and issues to the project team as required
  • Defines and executes processes to measure overall testing effectiveness using methods such as code coverage analysis
Required experience:
  • 3 years experience in functional, regression testing and performance testing of browser-based and Windows applications
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with application/web servers such as Apache or Tomcat
  • Experience with MySQL
  • Excellent teamwork and (oral and written) communication skills
Optional/Pluses:
  • Experience in automating test cases using automated test tools
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, PHP, Perl, Java

Data Architect

Data Architect Engineer to create, maintain and tune data architecture on Vendio's databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain up-to-date E/R diagrams / DDL list
  • Create table/stored procedures/SQL/index
  • Write data layer (DL) in different languages (PHP, Perl, Java, C, others)
  • Write advanced SQL
  • Data transformation (migration) (oracle to mysql, mysql 3 to mysql 5, etc)
  • DB performance tuning
  • Simplify # of tables, dbs, schemas, etc
  • Designing replication/master-slave architecture
  • Report to the Chief Data Architect.
Required Experience:
  • B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering with 3-5 years or M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering with 1-3 years experience in performance tuning dbs
  • Linux/Unix required
  • Good experience in working with Linux, MySQL, Java, Perl, PHP. Good knowledge of Oracle.Technical documentation writing skills
  • Experience in designing databases (MySQL), E/R diagrams and tuning them for better results. Any experience with inverted indexing based open source tools like Lucene, MG is a plus.
  • Must have strong Technical Depth, Inter-personal skills, oral and written communication skills, and an ability to think out-of-the-box.
