Vienna Bronze Gallery presents:
A whimsical larger scale solid bronze depicting a happy crocodile or alligator playing the saxophone.
The colors of the cold painted figurine are still vibrant despite the age. Here we have a truly charming figurine by one of the finest workshops.
Some time ago we had a complete orchestra with ten musicians and did not believe that we would ever find one of these fabulous pieces again.
We have also an accordionist and a fiddler. They would make a great Cajun band! The figurine may be tempting for our southern friends, especially from New Orleans.
ca. 2 “ (5 cm) tall and 2 “ (5cm) deep
Good with a nice aged patina, no restoration, no repairs, no touch ups! Please do not forget that you are buying a used item that always may show some traces of wear!
No. It is definitely a Bergmann. They did not mark each of the musicians.
ca. first quarter of 1900s
