Before the Auction: Uploading Images continued ...

Mac Users
So you like to think different? Well, this information is for you.

Step 1: First, make a new folder on your desktop where you can put your pictures. You don't have to do this, but it will make locating your images easier.

  • In the top menu bar, there is an option called "File." Click this option. Click the "New Folder" option.
  • A new folder will appear on your desktop. Name the folder. Save your edited images to this folder.

Step 2: Now you are ready to upload.

  • Log in to your Vendio image hosting control panel.
  • Note the tabs linking to Image Hosting, Counters, ePostcards, and the Message Center. The image hosting page should be open.
  • Note the yellow button near the top of the page labeled "upload a new image." Click this button.
  • You will now be on the upload images page. Note the three empty boxes, each with a button labeled "browse" next to them. Click the top browse button. A pop-up dialog box will appear.
  • In the dialog box, note the gray buttons to the right and a larger box in the middle. Click the "desktop" button if your picture file is stored on your desktop. If it is not, you will have to search your directories to find it.
  • The contents of your desktop will be displayed in the box. Locate your picture folder and double-click it.
  • A list of the image files in your folder will be displayed. Choose the one you want to upload and double-click it.
  • The file path will appear in the field next to the browse button. If you want to upload more than one image, repeat this process. (You can upload up to 19 images at a time if your connection allows it--just click the "show more upload fields" link under the browse boxes.) When you are done choosing your files, close the dialog box and click "upload."

As soon as the image(s) are successfully uploaded, note the automatic display of the images. Also, note the thumbnail(s) of the image(s) on your image hosting page. If you see a broken image icon or red "X," the image(s) did not upload correctly. Do not attach images to an auction unless you can view the image on your page. Your image will not show up in your auction.
